hi,

I have compiled VLC and tried to run using following command:

./vlc -play a.mpg <a.mpg is a file name>

Here is the output
VLC media player 0.8.2 Janus

I am not sure whether this is succesful or failed. Is there any indication/messages which convey the status to user.

Can someone provide me some pointer?

I would like to play/stream files using commandline.

Any help is welcome.
