No playback of wmv or avi under BeOS

Postby tigerdog » 25 Oct 2005 10:21

Worked fine in 2005-10-09 player. Cannot play video files with 2005-10-21 nightly build. Tested under yT Zeta 1.1.

I mailed titer (its his server) about this a while back - svq3 support was busted then

Its all working in my own build here, but you need to run the ./bootstrap procedure under an OS with newer and more reliable autotools, unfortunately. After that, it builds with BeOS OK.

titer seems rather busy right now, but I'd check a recent build machine build to see if he's fixed whatever was causing it.

If you build VLC from under BeOS itself, absolutely no problems. I also found the problem with auto*, at least on R5, so I can re-bootstrap from there

If you need a recent, working, R5 build, find me on BeShare or IRC.

...but I'd check a recent build machine...

I only know the repositor at http://download.m0k.org/videolan/nightly/trunk/?M=D. There hasn't been a posting there since 10/21. Is there another place to find machine builds?
