Freeplayer ( VLC + ubuntu )

Postby Gandalf » 21 Oct 2005 08:20

Hello there,

The FreeBox have integrated VLC recently so we can watch multimedia on TV, i have installed VLC on ubuntu via apt-get

Code: Select all

wael@nasreddine:~$ vlc --version VLC media player 0.8.4-svn20040920 Janus VLC version 0.8.4-svn20040920 Janus Compiled by buildd@terranova.buildd Compiler: gcc version 4.0.2 20050808 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.0.1-4ubuntu9)
When i run vlc-fbx.sh (check the linked archive at the end of this post) VLC run normally, i can browse folders via TV, but when i press Enter to play a movie VLC quit with segmentation fault, i don't know why but it always quit with this segmentation fault, so can someone tell me the ./configure of the VLC for ubuntu because i think there's one missing

freeplayer.tar.gz that contains execution and http files....

Thanks for any suggestions....
