I can confirm... Packages for debian sarge are not working (they aren't there to be more exactly)...

I've got this in /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/debian sarge main
deb-src http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/debian sarge main

but when I do an apt-get update I get:
Hit http://download.videolan.org sarge/main Packages
Ign http://download.videolan.org sarge/main Release
Hit http://download.videolan.org sarge/main Sources
Ign http://download.videolan.org sarge/main Release

Notice Ign (ignored)....

Going to http://download.videolan.org/pub/videol ... nary-i386/ I have noticed that Packages.gz is only 20 bytes (an empty archive), while in http://download.videolan.org/pub/videol ... nary-i386/ the Packages.gz file is 3.1K

I've installed them by wget-ting them first.. but I still like the apt-get install stuff....

regards,
acker
