when i watch mcast streams vlc-client might stay up hours or just 5min before crashing. When crash occurs it just closes the client and i need to start it again.

I have no problem with the other type of the file formats. There is no problem with the stream since my windowsPC handeles it OK.

I use mcast on FC4 and have not experienced this problem.

I noticed that it occurs when i listen netradio stream at same time from XMMS and watch other multiacast videostream from VLC.
