Why does VLC try to find the Nvidia Vdpau backend ?

Hi there,
I have an intel integrated sound and video chipset . pacmd telling/sharing what audio sink is available and used.
lspci tells this :-
and this as my Video :-
Anyways, when I run a media file in vlc I often get readings like these :-
These are the flags with which vlc was built in Debian testing by the Debian maintainers :-
Just to add these are the capabilities the CPU has on this system :-
Is there a way to disable or blacklist so that it doesn't try to find that libvdpau_nvidia.so library. While I do have some more issues which I'll share in due course, this will make it one less thing to worry about, if it can be done.
