Resume should be a new function in vlc 2.2. I read somethin, how I can activate it for windows. You can do it in teh interface settings. But I don't have this feature in my interface settings. Is there resume for vlc 2.2 for linux?

Edit: I find this feature in the complete settings. But I can activate what I want, nothing happens.

+1

I remember in earlier versions (1.7?) there was a plug-in that did the trick. I've looked everywhere but cannot see how this can be done under Linux.

It's enabled by default. Works fine here.

I guess I haven't got it enabled. Where can I find the option? Searching "resume" in Advanced Preferences comes up empty.

Thanks --

Ok, I reset my preferences & now it works. Now the problem is, unless I jump on the popup right away, the file starts at the beginning. Any way to change the default to start where it left off, so I don't have to race against the interface?

So far no. Some people want it never, some people want it all the time :)

Ok, after some times, I've just discovered this option is located in Show all settings -> Interfaces -> Main interfaces -> Qt
More hidden no? :P

By the way, I don't know if it's my problem, but I can't see any window asking for resuming. If I change the settings to Always, it resumes. :?
