No sound on clientside while streaming live TV with vlc

Postby Mr.LiveTV » 19 Sep 2005 17:12

Hello,

I'm trying to stream a TV channel via VLC (and multicast) to several clients. After many tries I'm now able to see the picture on my clients.
But I'm getting no sound on the client side... I've managed to hear the sound on my vlc server (installed latest alsa and selected "channel line in" via kmix). But still no sound on the client side...

TV card is a hauppauge winTV Theater (cable version).
OS is Knoppix 4.0 (based on debian).

Does anybody have a hint for me?

Thanks in advance!

You should give us your command line so we can try to spot the missing option

"v4lctl volume mute off" will help you :)
