Blue vertical lines in all video...

Postby Phempa » 17 Sep 2005 05:36

Ever since I tried VLC (even back in Windows days), the video quality for every file has been terrible. Blue colored vertical static-like lines are always on the screen. This hasn't only happened with VLC, though. BSPlayer on Windows did the exact same thing.

I've recently switched to Linux (Ubuntu 5.04) and VLC is so far the only player that will give me any video at all. If someone can give me some ideas as to why I'm getting poor video quality, and how to resolve it, I'd appreciate it :)

VLC for GTK+

Ubuntu 5.04 (x86 32-bit)
Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR Motherboard wityh nVidia chipsets
AMD Athlon64+ 2800 (1.8 gHz)
512 MB DDR400 RAM
nVidia Geforce MX4000 PCI 64mb DDR

Can someone please help me with this?
