VLC Won't Load After Enabling LUA and Web Interfaces
Posted: 22 Jun 2014 15:50
I just installed VLC and it loaded just fine the first time. My wife and I hook an older computer up to our TV so we can watch movies and tv shows using it, and when we were using Windows with the same interfaces it didn't seem to have a problem. We need the Lua and Web interfaces for our Android/iOS remotes.
I just installed Elementary OS and am getting these errors:
elementary@Elementary:~$ vlc
VLC media player 2.0.8 Twoflower (revision 2.0.8a-0-g68cf50b)
[0x93d1d80] [dummy] lua interface error: This is the `dummy' VLC Lua interface module.

Does anyone know how to fix this? We'd really like to keep using Elementary, however if this seems to be an unsolvable problem on Linux, we'll just have to switch back to Windows since VLC is the only reason we use this particular computer.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate any help you can offer!
