Installation problems

Postby frangarcia » 28 Jul 2005 13:46

I´m almost new using Linux and I´m trying to install VLC into my Suse 9.1. I´ve resolved some of the problem with the libraries dependencies, but I get some messages like:

liba52.so.0 is needed by vlc-0.8.2.1.pm.1
libdvbpsi.so.3 is needed by vlc-0.8.2.1.pm.1
libwx_gtk2-2.4.so.0 is needed by vlc-0.8.2.1.pm.1
libwx_gtk2-2.4.so.0 (WXGTK2_2.4) is needed by vlc-0.8.2.1.pm.1
libxosd.so.2 is needed by vlc-0.8.2.1.pm.1

How can solve this problems?

Thanks in advance.

You can visit http://www.rpmseek.de/. Now you have to klick on "was bedient" and type the name of the required library. After pressing enter you should have a list of possible programs which provide this library. You must repeat this procedure for the other libraries.
