black screen in streaming

Postby enduserbdx » 21 Feb 2013 14:47

Hello,
Black screen in Freeboxtv streaming and dvd lecture; the sound is correct.
The video output is "predefined".
there are some odd pictures with the video outputs "GLX(XCB)" and "ASCII".
The package vlc-plugin-zvbi is installed.

Computer Asus X70A
ATI Radeon HD 4570
squeeze 6.0.6
chromium-browser 6.0.472.63-r59945
vlc 1.1.3-1squeeze6

Thanks.

It looks like your XVideo and OpenGL display drivers are broken. Try to force X11; it might be slow though.

The "X11(XCB)" video output doesn't work.
Usually the vlc screen becomes black after a recent squeeze installafion.
A new squeeze installation fixes it up.
