open UPnP media with command line in VLC for Linux

Postby liupengking1 » 09 Jan 2013 13:44

Hi,

I am usng VLC as a DLNA client and test different DLNA servers with different formatted media. For efficiency, I need to start streaming with media in the playlist automatically, it' better to use a script to run this.

Could anyone help me to open UPnP media with command line?

Thanks.

Yes. UPnP support is VLC has always been flaky. A lot of extra development work would be required for proper UPnP in VLC.
