Does any one have a recommendation on the best version / repository of VLC and the Firefox Plugin for RHEL 6.2 / 64 bit. A good working Firefox VLC plug-in is key.

Did you try the version from rpmfusion?

I removed 2.0.3 from ATrpms and installed from RPMfusion:

npapi-vlc-2.0.0-1.el6 (x86_64)
vlc-core-2.0.3-1.el6 (x86_64)
vlc-extras-2.0.3-1.el6 (x86_64)
vlc-2.03-1.el6 (x86_64)

I have Firefox 3.6.24
about:plugin yields

VLC Web Plugin installed
File:/usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins-wrapped/nswrapper_64_64.libvlcplugin.so
Version 2.0.3 Twoflower...

Page comes up, but there does not doesn't appear to be a vlc instance embedded.

Does anyone have the npapi plugin working with VLC 2.03 on RHEL 6 / Fedora, or should I try an older version.

I can make it as my time permit.
But there will be a need to have discipline with the version for firefox been used, It may not work on firefox 3.6 is the standard version in RHEL is firefox 10.x
