I just installed VLC 2.0.1 on my laptop running Windows XP SP3. I would like to connect via Upnp to my xbmc running on an audiophile music server (Ubuntu). When I click on "Playlist->Local Network->Universal Plug'n'Play", in messages I get:

upnp error: Initialization failed: UPNP_E_SOCKET_BIND
main error: no suitable services discovery module

Nothing appears in the playlist.
Thank you,
kind regards,

Same error here, except with vlc-2.0.2 on OS X.

Same error here using OSX 10.6.8, VLC 2.0.9, and Synology NAS running Media Server (DLNA/UPNP).

WDTV box can see the NAS serving media. Android tablet can see the NAS serving media. VLC on the OSX laptop can't see it. ???
