Postby daleb » 21 Dec 2006 07:03

hey Ive tried to open the following sdp file with the SuSE rpm, version 0.8.6 source and 0.9.0svn all have failed.
I have also tried building ffmpeg (with h264) support and the live555 libraries
I can open this stream on a windows box and an Ubuntu Linux laptop

the sdp file:
v=0
o=- 160 2030399563 IN IP4 127.0.0.0
s=QuickTime
t=0 0
a=x-qt-text-nam:Bruce Cam

Daleb,

As the packager for SUSE I would like to express that I'm sorry one of the features you would like to see is missing.

Unfortunately, starting with this evening, I will be off line for several days and will not even be able to make modified packages.

After this time, I will gratefully look into this packaging problem. For this it would be very helpful if you could give me a sample file / link, where I can try it out.

Together with the whole VLC Devel team I am confident that we will create packages that suite everybody's needs.

Greetings and a holy time,
Dominique

The strange thing is there is no error or warnings. every things look normal.
do you have a firewall ? can you disable it for a moment to test.

Thanks for your time guys
I found the issue.. I had missed a couple of "missing header warnings" during the configure process.
Dimstar I think that live555 is the issue in the rpm, unfortunately I don't have a server accessible from the net that you can test sorry I'm on a closed network as far as multicast goes.
Oh and I also had to build ffmpeg with H264 support.
Cheers
Dale
