I'm a korean. so I can't English well.. but I hope you to understand what I say.

I write a letter after I see your reply about my reply...

I don't know What he wants to do....

But now I will explain the thing that I heard from my professor...

my professor will make a new codec... He wants the codec to insert to vlc....

He wants to know where the codec can be inserted.... that't it....

I don't know anymore.... I know you not to understand easily....

I already answered the post.

To add a codec to vlc, you need to:
* Get VLC source. Compile it.
* Modify it and specially add a file which is used to read the codec. modules/codec/ should be the good place.
* Add the support in VLC (FOURCC, etc...)
* Re-compile VLC.
