SuSE 10.1 - libwx_gtk2u

Postby Anessen » 14 Oct 2006 03:16

Hello
I am running SuSE 10.1 ED, and I am trying to install VLC from your SuSE RPM on the downloads page - the i686 version.

I keep getting this dependency problem when installing:
Unresolved dependencies:
Installing vlc-0.8.5-2.pm.8.i686[Local packages]
There are no installable providers of libwx_gtk2u_qa-2.6.so.0 for vlc-0.8.5-2.pm.8.i686[Local packages]
I have hunted around on the internet, but the only packages I can find lead to a complete dependency nightmare. Surely it can't be this complicated?! What am I missing here?

Use smart to install vlc.

Make sure PackMan is added to your smart channel. Install vlc as root:

"smart install vlc"
