cannot peek while getting new packet, EOF ?

I have a linux server running vlc to stream content and it works fine.

However after a period of time (random but short) it just stops and this is the error log on the server where its running.

It just hangs there.

Please help ?

It almost appears as if its timing out or something and assuming EOF.

Maybe there is a time out i can put in ? or maybe some kind of auto re-play setting ? because if i type "play" at that prompt it reconects to the source stream and carries on relaying with no problem. Any ideas would be appreciated.
