Universe Repository is set up, but only 0.8.4 is available

Postby Caiselan » 31 Aug 2006 09:40

I've got a universe repository activated in my synaptic packet manager, but even when I reload the only version of VLC I can find is 0.8.4

(Note: Running Ubuntu 6.06)

I found this in the Ubuntu forums:
deb http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/dapper-i386 /

add it to your apt/sources-list and you will find the latest vlc in your package manager.
it works! Great!

I can't get the nightly repository to show up in Synaptic. I don't suppose it's because I'm using a 64 bit version of Ubuntu is it? I'm pretty sure I did everything right to set it up, and it shows up in the repositories list and the key shows up in the key list, but I still only see 0.8.4 on Synaptic.
