VLC, command line, internet radio playback

Postby BlackTomato » 18 Nov 2023 17:10

Welcome.
I would like to run VLC to play internet radio in such a way that only the window ( control panel) is shown to me.
Currently I start the radio with the command

Code: Select all

vlc radio.pls
.
Sometimes when I open the radio like this it shows VLC with a black window in which the movie is usually displayed.
(This happens if I played a movie before, and then I turn on the radio and VLC keeps the size of the window of the previously played movie.

Sometimes there's this look. I don't want this look for listening to the radio.

What will be the syntax in the command line in the console to run vlc only with the control panel. You don't need an appearance with a blank movie window to play internet radio.
thanks
