Newest codecs dont work under LMDE6 ?

Postby Bertium » 01 Oct 2023 13:08

I updated LMDE5 to LMDE6 and the automatic update also installed the newest mint-meta (2023.09.08.1+lmde6) faye;

But the player now shows a black screen but the sound is hearable. The screen menue seems also availabe because I am able to start a DVD by blind clicking in the black screen. (Celluloid refuses completely.)
I removed and installed it again, but there is no change.
What have I to do?

Re: Newest codecs dont work under LMDE6 ?

I do not know the meaning of this data below, maybe an professional can use it. I got this commands from the debian site under actual release notes.
Is it better to move the question to the linux mint forum or is it right here?

Thank you in advance Norbert
