[REQUEST] Support Matrox MXO2 MAX & CompressHD

Postby JuanPabloCuervo » 17 Jun 2022 03:36

ive seen that VLC 4 supports Black Magic 10-Bit out,

Matrox has 10-Bit HDMI FullHd 30p, 13 years ago, but still has No support for/by Linux.

Somebody paid somebody else to write the Blackmagic support code. Nobody paid anybody to write the Matrox support code.

You need to be realistic here. This is a professional feature that requires special hardware. The chance that somebody would do this for free just because you post a request is pretty much zero.

Actually, I confused that case with another one. I do not sure if the author was paid in this case, or just doing it to scratch their own itch.
