Streaming from IP Cam: Windows = OK, Raspbian = NOK

Postby NickWs » 27 Oct 2020 22:27

Hi all

I would like to use cvlc to display the stream from an IP Cam.
When I do this on a RPi4 I get a distorted image: a part of the screen (about 4cm, whole width, mostly in the middle and sometimes the lower part) is flickering briefly and goes back to normal.
On a Windows machine the stream is displayed without any glitch.

Any idea how I can solve this since I have checked the documentation and did not find anything that could help.

Thanks in advance!
Nick

This could be a decoding error. If this is a H.264/5 stream, this may well be the fault of the hardware decoder. In this case, use x264/5.
