I noticed that in the Windows version there are several optimised Memcpy functions, including MMX and MMXEXT. However, in the Debian nightly build, only libcmemcpy is available. Is this intended? I know from other programs that MMXEXT is often twice as fast as libc so I would like to use it!
I thought perhaps it was failing to detect MMXEXT support, however on startup it does report that the CPU reports MMXEXT.
I'm running Debian unstable on a VIA-C3 (Nehemiah) processor with kernel 2.6.12.2.
