About Ubuntu - lcd tv view size and vlc player problem

Greetings, dear friends, come easy, I have two questions.
1-I installed Ubuntu on my old computer I have 4 gb ram i5 3600u processor,
1a- I connected this computer to LCD TV with HDMI cable.
1b-vlc player on the notebook screen when I act full screen or small very nice play, but when I drag the vlc player to the lcd tv is a big whiteness >> two big signs remain on the screen ..
i have no problem with the original ubuntu video player but i use different applications on vlc player, youtube playlist playback, and creating playlists in local videos and controlling vlc with android remotely for this reason vlc is important for me so how can i solve the problem instead of local video player I would appreciate if you can direct.

When I transfer the VLC player to lcd tv how can I make it work properly, I've been encountering such an error, I installed 18.04 ubuntu.
