VLC only plays one DVD disc
I am running VLC 3.0.6 on Linux Mint 18.3 and the first DVD plays fine I remove it and put a second DVD in and vlc refuses to read it or playback anything and nothing I have tried will get the disc read despite the file manager and disks control panel recognizing the correct DVD. Any ideas would be appreciated? ( and I have LibDVDCSS loaded )

Have you tried restarting vlc and then play the disc? Are there any error messages (Tools > Messages)? Try setting it to debug and post any output when you try and play the disc

What do you mean by "second DVD" ?
If you want your problem to be solved :* First read troubleshooting guide VSG:Main
* Always provide verbose LOGS ! (command line or from gui)
* Always check your issue against a developer build from Nightly Build of VLC
* Tell us when your problem is solved !
