Some VLC trouble.

Postby agentdunken » 28 Nov 2005 06:35

Well I use Suse 10.0 and I installed VLC from Packman source in Yast. Well for starters I can only run it in a terminal. Every time I try to run it with out a terminal I get this error:

Code: Select all

Cannot open Opie-Vlc
Then some things don't work. Preferences don't work at all. I click on its icon and nothing happens and I get this error in the terminal:

Code: Select all

[00000348] main dialogs provider error: no dialogs provider module matched "any" [00000263] skins2 interface error: No suitable dialogs provider found (hint: compile the wxWidgets plugin, and make sure it is loaded properly)
Then in the playlist when I click to add something nothing happens, delete somthing nothing happeneds, and soft the playlist nothing happeneds. I get the same error above:

Code: Select all

[00000357] main dialogs provider error: no dialogs provider module matched "any" [00000263] skins2 interface error: No suitable dialogs provider found (hint: compile the wxWidgets plugin, and make sure it is loaded properly)
Is it the skin I have messing it up? This is what my skin looks like:

Please help. I'm looking for a different media player besides mplayer and I like the features VLC has.

Hello,

Somehow, the "wxwidgets" plugin is not present. You might need to install the "wxvlc" (or something like that package) or the WX libraries.
