resizing don't stop

Postby lcn.mustard » 12 Sep 2011 13:29

I'm using vlc 1.1.10 with kubuntu lucid. :?: If I resize the window and run a playlist vlc dont stop the resize. I uncheck "resize interface the video to the video size" and tried in window width / heigth = 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 without results. :arrow: I made a video with the problem compared with the totem (the screen above left) and vlc (below right): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6ZKUDTIF or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rFlbodu1kU

Thanks to who knows the solution. :idea:

I have found a way to make the "video window" stay the same size when changing videos, even works on repeat!

Turn on "Integrate Video in interface" and turn off "Resize interface to video size"...

...then turn on "Start in minimal mode" option, in the first tab in "preferences", which you can get to by;

Right clicking the video window, Tools | Preferences

...or Tools | Preferences from the main menu if visible.

Here are some keyboard shortcuts, because your controls will not be visible in "minimal mode":

Hope it helps for a few out there, tricky business!

You may also want to change the behaviour of "Continue Playback", from "Ask" to "Never" or "Always".

Note: to get to the extra settings in the preferences, you need to click the "All" settings button on the lower left.

Then find "QT Interface", which is "Interface" | "Main Interfaces" | "Qt", then look for "Continue playback?"
