Can't install VLC on Redhat

I downloaded the latest Fedora package and followed the directions:

Download the RPM packages tarballs listed in the section below and uncompress them in the same directory :

$ tar zxf <package name>

Then, as root, install the packages:

# rpm -U vlc/* --force

But when I run the rpm command, I get:

I'm new to linux, so I don't really know what I'm missing and how to get it. Can anyone help me out.
