Installing VLC in Fedora 18 for dummies

I had just enough luck and money to find someone to load Fedora 18 onto my Windows XP partitioned ancient Dell desktop. Unfortunately, I am a newbie to almost everything Linux, having spent the last 11 years in Windows XP. I can't read or understand any code expressions, so I wouldn't even know how to install Yum, or the evidently easier to use Yum Extender, that supposed to have a GUI to help non-code writers like me install Yumex (see http://www.yumex.dk/)-much less VLC itself.

Isn't there a way that I can simply download VLC for Fedora 18 as a zip file or a package with a built-in installer that I can simply click on, thereby installing the program automatically-like I did in Windows XP?

It should be an RPM Fusion, though Fedora 18 is not the most up-to-date version http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-fedora.html

Unlike Debian/Ubuntu, Fedora does not provide VLC in the built-in software collection.

Is that the actual VLC for Fedora program-even if it's not the most up to date version?

If yes, then after downloading it, how do i actually install it?
