VLC can't play some videos (eg. FLV). (OpenSUSE). [SOLVED]

Postby gk67 » 13 Feb 2014 20:28

Hi! :D

I installed VLC (1-click installation, from VLC download page), at Open SUSE x64 v.13.1 with KDE.
Installed packages:

Code: Select all

giorgos@linux-a2h3:~> rpm -qa | grep vlc vlc-noX-lang-2.1.2-82.1.noarch vlc-noX-2.1.2-82.1.x86_64 vlc-codecs-2.1.2-82.1.x86_64 libvlc5-2.1.2-82.1.x86_64 phonon-backend-vlc-0.7.1-13.3.x86_64 libvlccore7-2.1.2-82.1.x86_64 vlc-2.1.2-82.1.x86_64 vlc-qt-2.1.2-82.1.x86_64 giorgos@linux-a2h3:~>
The problem is, that VLC can't play FLV videos.
Any thoughts? :D
TIA!

Maybe this one, from vlc-codecs: /usr/lib64/vlc/plugins/demux/libavformat_plugin.so ?

OK! I installed VLC from Packman repository and the problem solved.
THANKS!!! :D
