Some help with wmv3

Postby Pheonicks » 31 Aug 2005 03:02

Ok after searching the forum for help with my problem I've learned somethings. After checking my stream and media info I found that the videotype is wmv3 which I assume does not work with vlc normally. I found this link however and I was wondering if this is used to modify vlc...

http://trac.videolan.org/vlc/changeset/11593

If it is could someone please clue me in on applying this modification?
If not, is anyone aware of a video playing software that handles mkv files with wmv3, mpga and subt codecs? I use ubantu linux and am fairly new to using it but not clueless..

Thanks for your help,
John

I have the same problem with wmv3 files. Searching the forums I've only seen a Windows solution, not a Mac OS X solution, which is what I'm looking for.
