I am trying to install VLC, but it fails when I do a make. The ./config is no problem. This is what I do:
./configure --enable-dvb --with-ffmpeg-tree=/home/tv_user_1/install/temp/ffmpeg/ --disable-wxwindows --disable-skins
ffmpeg is configured with the following rule:
./configure --enable-pp --enable-gpl
After both I do a make. With VLC it fails and the error where it fails is:
gcc -Wsign-compare -Wall -pipe -o libcmml_plugin.so libcmml_plugin_a-browser_open.o libcmml_plugin_a-cmml.o libcmml_plugin_a-history.o libcmml_plugin_a-intf.o libcmml_plugin_a-xarray.o libcmml_plugin_a-xlist.o libcmml_plugin_a-xtag.o libcmml_plugin_a-xurl.o `top_builddir=../../.. ../../../vlc-config --libs plugin cmml`

May be some experts have any Idea. ffmpeg is from cvs. VLC is version 8.2 both on a Linux Slackware 10.1 system.
