Hi, this is my first post.
Looking for better performance on HD content I''ve installed 1.2 and 1.3 builds of VLC from the master-daily vlc PPA on ubuntu https://launchpad.net/~videolan/+archive/master-daily
I always used vlc 1.1 to watch movies with SPDIF support enabled (via alsa) with no problems.
This issue is present with 1.2 and 1.3 builds of VLC.
I've lost sound (strangely except for AC3 2.O) over spdif. Even Stereo audio e.g. mp3 stop working. Nothing really happens on my receiver (Logitech Z-5550)
Here is the output from command line from a VLC 1.3 Build (just remembering it was the same thing on 1.2):
VLC media player 1.3.0-git Rincewind (revision 1.3.0~~git20111230+r1090)
[0x19661d8] main libvlc: Running vlc with the default interface. Use 'cvlc' to use vlc without interface.

[0x1e5a3b8] main audio output error: cannot setup filtering pipeline
[0x7feec804b748] main decoder error: failed to create audio output
is there anybody else having this issue?
Any tips?
Thanks
