Teletext and transparent stripes problem

Hi

I have two linux computers running the exact same vlc version and configuration.
I do not think this is a problem in vlc, but hope someone here can help me in the right direction.

On one of the computers i get vertical transparent stripes in the teletext rendering. (http://postimage.org/image/13lrghdj8/)

I have the same version of zvbi on both computers.

Any ideas?

upgrading ffmpeg, then recompiling vlc fixed it..
