[Solve] Delay with "open file" dialog

Postby lcn.mustard » 26 Mar 2011 00:13

When I click "open file" the content takes a minute and a half to appear. How to speed this up? :(
kubuntu 10.10 (kde4.6.0) with vlc 1.1.14 Thanks!

After installing kde4.6.1, the "open file dialog" still slow like a turtle.

What do you want? That we tell you to not use KDE? There's nothing the VideoLAN project can do about KDE bugs.

Do you were to take some painkillers. Who put the a question forum are wondering if anyone has any solution or clue and do not get a headache (if I wanted I was using windows). Furthermore, at no time, I affront the work of vlc or kde. YOU has no clue, GREAT, does not need to be rude! ... and between vlc and kde , YES I WILL continue to use kde. Thanks!

following the tip in ( https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=260719 ), and installing VLC 1.1.18 , that issue has been resolved. And it's working OK now.
