Hi:
i downloaded the source code of the latest version of vlc hours ago. I was preparing to install it in my Fedora, however, when I wanted to build it with direction make as the INSTALL said, there was no makefile. I tried to run Makefile.am, but it didn't work and told me some commands not found. What is the matter, and how can I solve the problem?

Run ./bootstrap and then ./configure

Still doesn't work. No makefile is generated.Run ./bootstrap and then ./configure

Then read the output of configure and config.log and find out why configure doesn't succeed.

not necessarly. But look at the end of the mesage of configure in the terminal. It should be quite obvious why it's not happy

Should I disable those options that are enabled default if I don't want to use them?not necessarly. But look at the end of the mesage of configure in the terminal. It should be quite obvious why it's not happy
