different zoom levels in full screen

Hi,

The different zoom levels that are provided in VLC 1.0.1 are perfect and I have read in forums that different zoom levels are supported in full screen mode, but I am not able to use any of them.

I am using XV output to play video files and when I press z or shift-z I see OSD that the zoom level is changing, but nothing on the video changes.

Am I missing something here?

that works j-b. thank you - it gives me original size and scale to screen. Are there plans to also integrate the other scale factors on Linux.

try Alt-o and alt-shift-o to increase/decrease zoom in fullscreen mode

Thanks a lot, that worked as well. I was wondering if there are shortcuts for doing 2x, 0.5x etc. in full screen mode just like they are in non-fullscreen mode. If they are not there - then how difficult/easy would it be to implement them?

I have a problem.

I have a video that has a 4:3 aspect ratio, but I want to zoom into it because I have a widescreen monitor.

Is there a way I could zoom into it so that the 4:3 video could be displayed on my monitor using vlc player?

I tried the alt+o shortcut but the video cannot be maximized enough so that it is displayed on the whole screen without changing the aspect ratio.

You didn't understand, I don't want to modify the ratio, I just want to zoom into a 4:3 aspect ratio video so that I can see it on a widescreen without the image being resized. In other words, I want the video to be cropped.
