VLC + DVB = odd behaviour with adverts

Postby jamesc » 01 Sep 2009 10:51

Hi,

I'm using VLC to connect to a tuner card and using a vlm config I select 2 PIDs from the frequency then broadcast these over HTTP to allow me to watch these channels on my laptop, This is using DVB-T in England, so it's using "Freeview", however whenever I watch Sky 3 I often see the following behaviour: The program works 100% fine, but the instance the adverts come on, the stream stops and I can't get it to play until the program returns. This is a VLC problem as this doesn't happen if I use dvbstream. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour or have any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks,

James

just to add, whilst running -vvv within the vlc startup command nothing seems to be outputted to the terminal with regards to why this is happening
