Vlc 1.0 not running like previous version

I've been running vlc on opensuse 11.1 .
I was using it for watching movies on tv, simply by changing primary screen from monitor to tv in nvidia x server settings.I was clicking on "apply", not "on write to xorg.conf".I liked this way.
Screens were in "twinview",and while vlc was running, monitor was free to use.
Everything vas working perfect until vlc 1.0 !?
I cannot make it to work like before!
On vlc video output is set to x11 output,tried others,with no succes..
Can somebody help me?

Would you mind explaining what happens now?? "I cannot make it to work" is rather vague.

I meant this :before, lets say on vlc 099 (i think that was last before 1.0) when video is played in fullscreen it was played on TV (witch was primary) , now fullscreen goes only on monitor, not mather that tv is primary
I upgraded to 1.0 regulary thru yast , i think from pacman repo,tried from video lan repo, but problem remains

I don't quite understand whatkinda setup you have, and how it has worked. As for myself with twinview and 2 monitors, chanding primary monitor doesn't do anything for me. Vlc stays fullscreen on monitor it's been fullscreened etc. So do you have somekinda cloned setup or?

No, I have twinwiew in nvidia settings.
It worked like this:
monitor is always primary screen,when i want ot watch movie on monitor, simply turn vlc on, and fullscreen is on monitor.
When i want to watch movie on TV in nvidia settings simply change primary to tv (with apply), turn vlc on, it appears on tv,with right click on main pannel (gnome) i move it to monitor so I can see it, turn movie on, go to fullscrean , and its on tv!It doesnt matter where is previously turned off

So you mean it doesn't go fullscreen on tv even if you have vlc window on tv screen?
or do you mean it goes fullscreen on monitor instead of tv when you fullscreen it on monitor?

The way i see it fullscreen goes on primary screen.No? Will try to explain with more details:
1.my screens are in twinwiew
2.My primary screen is monitor,when i start vlc and go fulscreen, it stays on monitor, all is ok.
3.when I want ot watch movie on tv i switch primary screen to tv
- start vlc, it shows on tv (in other room),
- right click on vlc tab on main bar > move , to drag it to monitor , so I can see interface
- load movie, go to fullscreen,
- enjoy movie on tv
Monitor is like now, with opera, or whatever i want to do instead watching movie.But, that was until vlc 1.0
Now when i switch primary screen to tv and start vlc , it shows on tv, I dragg it to monitor, load movie , go fullscreen, and fullscreen is on monitor?
Only way to get it on tv is to drag it back on tv an then go to fullscreen
What I would like to is: when movie is loaded , go fullscreen , and fullscreen is on primary screen (monitor or tv),or should I just forget about this?
It was working so smooth, and I like it so much , vlc is my default player
