Compile error: Ubuntu 8.04.1, VLC 1.0.0-git

I have compiled VLC many times over the last year on the machine that I now receive a compile error on. I have not compiled the source since the end of October. Now, I receive an error.

Here is my system information:

I don't recall ever having installed this library, but once I downloaded libdvbpsi5-0.1.6.tar.gz and installed -- everything compiled perfectly.
