VLC and Asus WL700gE

Postby joe123456 » 10 Oct 2008 12:06

Hello,
I have an Asus WL700gE and I have installed per "ipkg install vlc" a vlc packege on my Router from this page "http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optwa ... ss/stable/"
Now, if I start vlc I type "vlc" but it doesn't start because I have some errors. It looks like this:

[admin@WL700gE /]$ vlc

Can anyone help me?

Start D-Bus, or don't build the dbus support.

My D-Bus is running.
How to build dbus support?

I don't think d-bus is the problem.

All the messages about thread that can't be created are more important imho.

Hello,
so i solve the Problem. I start vlc with:

vlc --extraintf=http --daemon --http-host 192.168.1.1:8081

so if i use "ps", i see

[admin@WL700gE /]$ ps
PID USER VSZ STAT COMMAND
....
27588 admin 31576 S vlc --extraintf=http --daemon --http-host 192.168.1.1:8081
27592 admin 31576 S vlc --extraintf=http --daemon --http-host 192.168.1.1:8081
....
[admin@WL700gE /]$

without any errors.
But now I have a new Problem. I cant connect to my vlc Player with dbox? How can i do that? Has anyone an idea?

Joe
