0.9.2 segmentationfault

Postby mr_island » 25 Sep 2008 19:17

I've been running vlc 0.9.2 on Ubuntu, installed from backport repos along with Qt 4.4.x, for a week. The oether day, after some upgrades, vlc crashes with segfault; From terminal;

Segmentationfault

Amongst the Hardy upgrades was lib6-2.7-10.

Can this be the culprit?

Solved it!

It was rather simple; started a film from terminal with parameter -vv and saw that the seg fault happend when trying to update.
Edited vlcrc and changed to 199 days interval for updating and set notification to 0 (zero).

Worked!
