Can I split files?

Hello,
Can VLC split files at a given interval? Perhaps 1GB?

I would like to output my camera to disk, but I would like the file to split once it gets too big.

Any ideas?

That's not possible yet (unless you stop VLC and restart it with some kind of a script).

i try to kill it but after couple of kills vlc stops to record a stream
