Vlc can't play VobSub subtitles

Hello,
I've just installed Vlc and it seems to have problems with using VobSub subtitles for movies.

I get such error when selecting movie + .idx file:

[00000644] vobsub demuxer error: unknown query in subtitle control
[00000644] vobsub demuxer error: unknown query in subtitle control

My distro is Gentoo.
Currently using vlc version: 0.9.0_alpha20071022
Compiled with USE flags: X a52 alsa arts avahi bidi cdda cdio dbus dts dvb dvd ffmpeg flac gnutls hal httpd id3tag live matroska mp3 mpeg ncurses nsplugin ogg opengl png samba sdl sdl-image skins stream theora truetype upnp v4l v4l2 vcd vlm vorbis win32codecs wxwindows x264 xv

Any clues whats wrong?
