Multichannel on Linux x64

Postby ultradj83 » 02 Dec 2007 17:02

Good morning.

I'm running Linux Suse 10.3 x64 with a Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro.

System is well setted at 5.1 channel, but vlc, in the Audio Device menu line shows only mono and stereo.

I just tryed to force alsa on Audigy 4 Multichannel Playback, but problem is not solved.

What can I do?

Many thanks!

Hello,

How did you install VLC? What source did it come from?
Did you install from source (compile yourself)

Installed RPMs? In this case, please issue a

Code: Select all

rpm -q vlc
in a terminal and give us the output.

Thank you.

I installed using a repository with yast2.

Answer to rpm -q vlc is: vlc-0.8.6d-1.1
