starting telnet command

hi

im trying to write a shell script and having trouble finding telnet command

does anyone know wat command is used to start telnet?

#!/bin/bash

#open telnet into vlc
THIS IS WHERE I NEED THE COMMAN

echo "new channel1 broadcast enabled"
echo "setup channel1 input /home/tnyemba/mod.wmv"
