Helpwith UDP error

Postby jimk » 12 Mar 2007 23:05

When opening the VLC client to receive a video stream I see the following error in messages window.

access_udp error: cannot open socket
main error: no suitable access module for udp 'udp"@[fe80::230:48ff:fe54:876e%eth0]

What is causing this erro and how doesone resolve it?

Thank You
Jim

I am getting the same error message using Windows XP. I am trying to stream from a pc in the kitchen to a pc in the living room via a router. Could this be a port forwarding error? I have opened the 1234 port in the router but still get this error message.

Any help gratefully received :)
