VLC 0.8.5 on Fedora 5

Has anybody really installed VLC 0.8.5 on Fedora 5? I finished the installation, and run from
"Applications->Sound & Video->VLC media player", but no graphical utility was loaded succefully, even could find the PID of vlc under the command "ps".

Tried /usr/bin/vlc, and got as follows:
